Wash a bag of rough down the sluice and keep every stone you find.
Buy a bag of rough at the mining shack, tip it into a screen and wash it down the sluice. Whatever turns up is yours to take home.
Bigger bags carry more variety: polished stones, fossils and the occasional shark’s tooth. Ask at the shack and someone will name anything you cannot place.
Bags come in a few kinds: sea shells, mixed gems in a range of sizes, and tumbled stones. Pick the one that sounds best at the shack; each one turns up a different sort of haul.
